This week saw the completion and handover of phase 2 works at Priory House Care Home & Day Centre, with Southend Borough Council welcoming the first of their residents into their new homes. The development offers a 60-bed care facility with an adjoining day care centre, along with a communal cafe and commercial kitchen shared between both buildings.he remaining residents will decant from the existing care home over the next few weeks, before phase 3 starts with the demolition of the vacated building. Landscaping works have also commenced around the new building, and will extend to cover the site of the demolished care home as part of the final phase.
The project is due to be fully complete by summer 2022.
