Project Description

Two exciting new developments on the St Saviours Estate in Bermondsey for Southwark Council.

Maltby Street comprises the demolition of existing garages and pram sheds and construction a new reinforced concrete frame block, with brickwork facade over 5 storeys. The finished building will deliver 24 flats with a mix of 1,2 and 3 bedrooms, including 4 wheelchair duplexes with their own private entrances. Provision is also made for disabled car parking, external cycle storage, and landscaping, including communal green space and playground.

Fendall Street will offer 16 flats; one wheelchair duplex and a mix of 1,2 and 3 bed units over 5 stories. Using the same construction method as Maltby Street; it’s appearance will be very similar, although this site will also deliver internal cycle storage, a new ball court, play area and communal gardens.

Initial exploratory works will begin at Maltby Street at the end of March, with enabling works commencing on both sites early July. Completion for Maltby Street is planned for summer 2023, with Fendall Street following in autumn 2023.
