Our Model Bricklaying Apprentice
Blue skies were welcomed at the topping out ceremony on the rooftop of our Burnt Oak Broadway residential development, as were special visitors from our client – Network Homes, employer’s agent – Calfordseaden, and the Greater London Authority.
ARJ Operations Director, Shaun Sheldrake, kicked the speeches off by saying “We are thrilled to have reached such an important milestone in the construction process and are honoured to be delivering much needed affordable housing on behalf of Network Homes.”
David Gooch, Executive Director of Development for Network Homes was next to say a few words, before taking the trowel and contributing to the final stages of the 12th floor structure.
Sharing the trowel with David was GLA’s Area Manager (north west area team, housing and land) Ashish Sharma. Six of the homes will be offered under the GLA’s London Living Rent scheme, a scheme that supports residents in saving to buy their own home.
Due for completion summer 2023, the ‘ICON at Burnt Oak’ will offer the local community 100 much needed affordable homes – a mix of 1,2 and 3 bedroom, shared ownership, London Affordable Rent and London Living Rent dwellings.
